  Under normal circumstances--like on an average day--the school can release a child to individuals on the emergency contact list, but since the school told me they wouldn't, I'm not sure what their liability is for misinforming me about the action they would take especially when it was my day to pick my child up per the court order.
  
  I will release names of all administrators who were involved promptly. I will make sure that this never happens to my family or any other family again.
